    Shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday, four vehicles slammed into the back of one another after a car abruptly stopped in slow traffic near the Franklin exit on I-65, according to the accident report. Jennifer Cobb, 58, and Paige Cobb, 20, both of Westfield, Cameron Schmitz, 26, Pendleton, and Rex Ledford, 61, Cedartown, were taken to Franciscan St. Francis Hospital Indianapolis where they were treated and released, spokesman Joe Stuteville said.

    A prosecutor says he will seek the death penalty in the case of a 19-year-old Indianapolis man charged with fatally shooting three people over four days in May. Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry said at a news conference Tuesday that Johnathan Cruz killed the three "for sport," describing the killings as "beyond senseless." Curry says Cruz based the killings on the horror movie "The Purge," which is about one day a year when murder is legal.
