    An inmate was stabbed to death Monday at High Desert State Prison in Indian Springs, northwest of Las Vegas, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections. Correctional officers found 26-year-old Andrew Thurgood about 1:45 p.m. lying in the prison dayroom, officials said.
