    Shane Corey, 29, was taken to the Sullivan County Jail on preliminary felony charges of resisting police with a vehicle, habitual traffic violator and misdemeanor driving while intoxicated-refusal. Indiana State Police at Putnamville said traffic was light during the pursuit, which began at 12:40 a.m. in the Sullivan County town of Hymera on Indiana 48. Police also blocked intersections along the pursuit route in order to preventing accidents or injuries.

Indiana State Police at Putnamville report traffic was light during the chase, which began at 12:40 a.m. in the Sullivan County town of Hymera on Indiana 48. The chase began when ISP Trooper Brad Miller tried to stop Corey's 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe for a stop sign violation in Hymera.

    Workers are vigorously cleaning all surfaces in a Farmersburg elementary school in hopes the school district can halt an outbreak of norovirus. Mark Baker, superintendent of Northeast Sullivan School Corp., said walls, floors, desks and water fountains at North Elementary were being scrubbed with hospital-strength disinfectant on Friday.
