The company's initial Worcester-Cape Cod schedule features once-daily, round-trip flights from Thursday through Monday every week.

Bank officials said the new 78,000-square-foot office building and a three-level, 99,000-square-foot detached parking garage at would help consolidate employees currently working in other locations, including the bank's current headquarters in Orleans.

    The town of Barnstable and Barnstable County have reached a settlement over a lawsuit stemming from groundwater pollution at the Mary Dunn wellfield in Hyannis. Those wells were found to be contaminated with PFOS and PFOA, chemicals contained in firefighting foams once used at the nearby Barnstable County Fire and Rescue Training Academy.  The settlement reimburses the town for $2.95 million in capital costs that it has incurred in responding to the pollution.

    Downtown Hyannis has a few more bright spots this summer now that the Barnstable Police Department has increased its summer Community Service Officer program from six officers to 10. The officers, wearing their trademark neon yellow shirts, began work two weeks ago and patrol the Main Street area from the transportation center down to Sea Street, including the Village Green and the harbor. “The kids are out there and they're doing a great job,” Barnstable Police Chief Paul McDonald said at Monday's meeting of the town council's Committee to Assess Homelessness in Hyannis.

    The Barnstable Housing Commission on Tuesday voted to hold Hyannis developer Stuart Bornstein accountable for providing four deed-restricted, affordable housing units to the town as part of supporting his proposed $35 million luxury condominium development on Hyannis Harbor. In a June 14 email to Barnstable Housing Coordinator Arden Cadrin, Bornstein offered to make available three one- and two-bedroom workforce housing units to the town “anywhere from Marston's Mills to Centerville to Hyannis” instead of including affordable units onsite among the 33 Dockside condos proposed at School and South streets.
