Brian Davis, chief executive officer of WellStone Behavioral Health, formerly the Mental Health Center of Madison County, said the announcement on Jan. 13 that the North Alabama Regional Hospital was closing in June this year was not a sudden decision but a work in progress to stop funding an outdated facility.
