According to police 43-year-old Roger Salinas, also known as Jose Ramon Aponte-Rolon, of Huntingburg, is facing 17 charges including seven counts of rape of a minor, two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, four counts of criminal confinement, one count of kidnapping, one count of battery and one count of auto theft.

    According to Jasper Police, 22-year-old Darrin Dupont, of Huntingburg, was northbound on Newton Street in a 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme at about 3:30 a.m. Dupont told police that as he approached the intersection with 32nd Street, a female pedestrian was crossing Newton and walked into the path of his car. According to police, the pedestrian, 50-year-old Nancy Baer, of Jasper, suffered major injuries.
