Just two days after a Jamestown couple were victims of a driveway resurfacing scam, a Hudsonville couple is the latest victims. The couple is out 37-hundred-dollars after they say they were scammed by a man promising to seal their driveway. Comment?
An unnamed Jamestown Township couple in their 80's are the latest victims of having their driveway resurfaced by fly-by-night operators who charge an exorbitant fee for a substandard job. According to Ottawa County Sheriff's Detective Captain Mark Bennett, the couple was approached at their home in the vicinity of 32nd Avenue and Riley Street south of Hudsonville last Wednesday by two "large" men in an unmarked tan or cream-colored pickup truck, with a small tank and a pump sprayer in the truck bed. A 4-year-old Holland girl was seriously injured after the car in which she was front-seat passenger collided with a pick up truck, according to Ottawa County Sheriff's Sgt. David VanderPloeg. Comment?
Ottawa County Sheriff's detectives are investigating a report by three young Hudsonville girls that they were approached by a stranger. The girls described the suspect at a white male, about 60 years old with thinning gray hair, brown eyes and a short, light-colored moustache. Comment?
