Katie Spotz, 28, is inviting the entire community to attend a May 7 discussion at First Congregational Church, 47 Aurora St. from 7 to 8 p.m. Spotz will be the guest of JustFaith, an ecumenical program focusing on issues of social injustice throughout the world, according to Dick Klosterman, a member of JustFaith, of Hudson.

    The Ohio House of Representatives voted 63 to 36 April 22 to approve a two-year, $71.5 billion budget for the state which will increase funding for Ohio's 612 public school districts by 9 percent. The bill added about $281 million to the governor's budget, raising total school funding from $7.4 billion in fiscal year 2015 to $8.1 billion in fiscal year 2017.
