    The Hill County Sheriff's Office and Hubbard Police Department investigated a shooting death at approximately 6:59 a.m. Saturday, August 19. Authorities responded to a residence in the 1000 block of State Highway 171 in Hubbard in reference to a gunshot victim. According to a Hill County Sheriff's Office press release, Hubbard police located a 25-year-old Waco man, identified as Cody William Jones, inside the residence with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
