    Debra Fowler Kessinger is sentenced to 72 months in prison by Chief District Judge Joseph H. McKinley, Jr., for burning down the Dollar General Store she managed in Hart County. Kessinger, age 58, of Smiths Grove, Kentucky, was convicted on November 21, 2014, of setting a fire on June 27, 2011, that destroyed the Dollar General Store located at 1015 East Main Street in Horse Cave.

    A crash on Interstate 65 in south-central Kentucky between Horse Cave and Munfordville has closed down the northbound lanes and snarled southbound traffic. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the crash happened on the Green River Bridge in a work zone and that the bridge wall was hit.

    A Dart Container truck driver is flown to a Nashville hospital, after his truck and trailer flipper over while merging on I-65. It started off like any other day for 66-year-old Paul Bradley, until his truck and trailer overturned on the north bound ramp of the William Natcher Parkway, near exit 20. Bradley's co-worker, Junior Horton, was following behind him in another truck, driving their routine route from Owensboro to Horse Cave.

    Horse Cave Police say just after 4:00 am, a white man came into the Gulf Truck Stop just off the Horse Cave exit on I-65. Police say he asked the store clerk about buying cigarettes, then pulled a pistol, pointed it at the employee, and ordered that cash be put into a plastic bag.
