    A motorcyclist was airlifted to the hospital after being struck head-on by a sedan on Highway 101 just north of Hopland Friday afternoon, the Hopland Fire Department reported. Chief Mitch Franklin said his crews were dispatched to the scene shortly after 2 p.m. May 19 and found an adult male motorcyclist who had suffered “major, major injuries” when struck by a white sedan.

    A semi truck and a bus collided Tuesday morning on Highway 101 between Ukiah and Hopland, causing minor injuries to the bus driver's head and face, said Officer Teddy Babcock of the California Highway Patrol. According to witnesses, the bus, which was traveling south, crossed over into the northbound lane and crashed into the side of the truck at about 9:15 a.m., Babcock said.
