    Forest Hills Eastern baseball coach Ian Hearn was honored in a ceremony after Thursday's 10-2 over Wayland Ian Hearn was already in one exclusive club since he is a rare Grand Rapids area baseball coach to win a Division 1/Class A state championship. Hearn, who now coaches Forest Hills Eastern, led Rockford to the 2011 state championship.

Chukwuma Okorafor, Darius Phillips and Jarvion Franklin all exceeded their performances at the NFL Combine, while WMU's fourth Combine invitee, Donnie Ernsberger, opted to focus on receiving drills.
