    A state appeals court has ruled that a Hopatcong man who pleaded guilty to fourth-degree abuse of a minor cannot have his plea used as evidence in a civil trial against him. In the 13-page decision handed up on Thursday, the appellate court found that a trial court had nor erred, and found good cause to grant Edward Comperchio's motion for "civil reservation," thus ordering "that the plea not be evidential in any civil proceeding."
