State troopers allegedly observed Daniella Lucia Mannino Dec. 26 driving northbound on Route 301 in a vehicle with equipment violations.

    According to Holmes Beach Police Department reports released Dec. 29, two businesses and several homeowners reported $3,100 in shattered glass windows and doors to homes, stores and vehicles. "We didn't hear anything and didn't see anything," said Bruce Lipskind of Key Royale Drive, who estimated the shooting occurred between 6:30-10 p.m. Dec. 12. Other reports give varying timeframes between Dec. 12 and Dec. 14. In the 600 block of Key Royale Drive, a resident reported a vehicle parked on the roadway facing south was dented by pellets, causing about $500 damage.

    An Anna Maria Island builder no longer faces a charge for bringing cocaine into the Manatee County jail, but is up against charges of strangulation and false imprisonment in connection with a domestic battery. Richard Scott Eason, 29, of Holmes Beach, was arrested Nov. 13 after his live-in girlfriend called 911 twice to report an attack by Eason, according to a Holmes Beach Police Department probable cause affidavit.
