She lived in Paxton for 18 years and later Glen Ellyn and Aurora, Ill., for 17 years, before returning in retirement to Worcester in 2013. She graduated from Carle Place High School on Long Island, N.Y. She earned her associate's degree from Central New England College and her bachelor's degree from Assumption College.
