    Three homes were damaged in a fire in Holden Beach on Friday night and one of the homes was completely destroyed. When crews with the Tri-Beach Volunteer Fire Department got to the scene around 8:45 p.m., they found the home at 1079 Ocean Blvd. West completely engulfed in flames.

    Dispatchers tell us the call came in around 8:45 p.m., to a home in the 1000 block of Ocean Blvd. West. Video sent in by a viewer, Bonnie Cox, shows crews working to put out flames at the home, which appears to be a total loss.

    The Village of Bald Head Island has received a Coastal Area Management Act, or CAMA, Major Permit to allow the construction of a terminal groin structure up to 1,900 feet long at the Point between South Beach and West Beach.
