    Update - The South Dakota Highway Patrol released the name of the biker killed in an afternoon crash New Year's Day east of Rapid City. The biker, 45-year-old Bryan Rick of Hill City, was heading east on Highway 44 when an SUV driven by 36-year-old Philip Welling of Rapid City pulled out from Longview Road onto the highway, colliding with Rick's bike.
