    Officials in Hamburg are hoping to restore water service between 3 and 5 this afternoon after a water main break on Mountain View Street off Route 94 this morning left residents on the north side of town dry. According to road, water and sewer department supervisor Mike Schneider, the break occurred in an area that will require a contractor with specialized equipment that will allow crews to dig 10-12 feet down to reach the broken main.

Police dispatch was notified of the issue by several calls from residents and as of 9 a.m. a municipal crew was on the scene working to fix the break, which occurred sometime around 7 a.m., Municipal Clerk Doreen Schott said.

An investigation by the Franklin Borough Police Department Detective Bureau led to the arrest of Jermaine D. Tucker, 35, of Jersey City, Detectives alleged that on Jan. 7, Tucker, obtained a credit card belonging to victims from Sussex County.

The Daily Record reported via Twitter that Kinnelon police were reporting a deceased person in their town and the man arrested in Hardyston was the son of the deceased person who claimed he shot his father.
