    HAMBURG -- A Vernon woman was charged with child endangerment last month after she allegedly overdosed in a 7-Eleven bathroom while her 5-year-old daughter cried for help, according to the New Jersey Herald. Kassandra Potsel, 26, of the Highland Lakes section of the Township, was found lying on the floor of the convenience store's bathroom on Aug. 20 suffering from an apparent heroin overdose after 7-Eleven employees gained entry to the bathroom, the newspaper reported.

    A Highland Lakes beekeeper who was ordered recently to remove a solar electric fence he uses to protect his apiary is appealing to the Township Council to change its land use ordinance so he can continue to raise honeybees. Sebastian Muenkwitz, who recently began raising honeybees on the half-acre of East Lakeshore Drive property he purchased late last year, was unaware that he risked running afoul of the ordinance until he received a visit from the township zoning officer a little over a month ago.

Levine to receive the judge's verdict following a July bench trial.
