    Two West Milford residents were charged with possession of a hypodermic needle after Patrolman Brian DePree stopped a 1997 black Cadillac on Skyline Drive for improper maintenance of lamps at 6 p.m. Aug. 27. The driver was identified as Samantha Orsino, 20, of Hewitt while the male passenger was named Dion Coleman, 25, of West Milford. Besides being charged with needle possession, Orsino was additionally cited for driving with a suspended license and improper maintenance of lamps, said Detective Joseph Longo.

    Officer Jason Lowenfeld responded at 9:06 p.m. on Saturday, July 25 to the Valley View Pub at 1612 Union Valley Road on a report of a motor vehicle accident involving an intoxicated driver in the parking lot. Police said the ensuing investigation resulted in the arrest of Hewitt resident June Cavana, 57. She was arrested and issued several motor vehicle summonses, including driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license.
