The Hemet teen, who was severely injured and almost died in March after he was struck by a truck while walking to school, was at the center to greet doctors and volunteers who helped him. They were setting up for the Festival of Trees, a fundraiser for pediatric programs at Riverside University Health System Medical Center in Moreno Valley.

Robert Orrell, of Hemet, was struck while crossing the street by a 2005 Dodge pickup traveling south about 25 to 30 mph in the 100 block of Lyon Avenue near Florida Avenue, a police news release said.

Bianco's motorcycle crashed with an SUV, whose driver stayed at the scene.
