Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by the Pike County Court of Common Pleas Judge Gregory Chelak: Sam Eugene Coffey, 48, of Hawley, Pa., was sentenced to 2 years to 10 years in a state correctional facility, fined $3,500 and had his driver's license suspended for a duration to be determined by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportatin for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance. The state police were dispatched on Aug. 22, 2015, to assist public safety at a housing community in Blooming Grove Township for a suspected impaired driver.
