The N.C. Industrial Commission hearing will be held Wednesday in Williamston on the claim filed by Dave and Carol Dawson, who own the Cape Hatteras Motel in Buxton.

    Using their Twitter account, the NCDOT Ferry Division said around 5 a.m. That the Hatteras/Ocracoke ferry would be suspended because there was heavy fog reported in the Hatteras inlet. By 5:15 a.m., the NCDOT followed with another notification the Currituck/Knotts Island ferry would not run first thing Monday morning until the fog lifted.
