According to the jail booking form, Police Chief Ron Devies attempted to make contact with Barrone at the front door and on both his cellphone and home phone.

Ward, 51, of 5220 Graening St. N.E., Hartville, had it all planned out: blowing up the Marlboro Township Police Department and placing armed mannequins around the station to shoot officers. He was charged with retaliation and having weapons under a disability, both third-degree felonies, after warrants were executed Tuesday by the FBI, the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Alliance Special Response Team.
