Police said that Deshawn Walton, 20, Hartford, was charged with the shooting that occurred at approximately 7:51 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, inside a building at 2006 Main St. The victim suffered six gunshot wounds to his head, neck, chest, back and shoulder and was at one point listed in critical condition in the hospital, police said. After an investigation, police obtained a warrant for Walton, who goes by the street name of "Debo," and took him into custody on Thursday in Hartford.
