The Harrisburg school district will use the money to renovate buildings A and B and to demolish building C. The district plans to pay for the bonds with 80-percent of its annual income from a county-wide school sales tax.

Messner made significant progress at the hospital and he will continue the physical and cognitive therapy necessary for his recovery at the rehabilitation facility, the news release stated.

According to Attorney General Lisa Madigan, as directors of the Anna Bixby Women's Center in Harrisburg, Barbara Wingo, 76, of Golconda, and her daughter, Terrie Wingo-Eichorn, 50, of Elizabethtown, allegedly submitted falsified documents to the state to get grant funding to provide fictitious counseling services to domestic violence victims.
