    Citizens in the City of Warrenton elected Chris McCorkle as Mayor, Craig Hunter as Mayor Pro-Tem and three members to the city council on Nov. 7. Voters in the City of Harlem elected Roxanne Whitaker for mayor with 346 of 356 votes cast. There were 10 write-in votes, but she ran unopposed.

    A collision in Warren County claimed the life of a Thomson man on Oct. 13. According to Georgia State Patrol Trooper Daniel McMullen, a red Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Louis Thomas McCorkle, 74, of Thomson, was traveling west on Macon Highway toward the four-way intersection with Legion Drive at approximately 3:16 p.m. A loaded log truck from Frails Logging driven by Donnie Frails, 54, of Harlem, was stopped at the intersection of Legion Drive and Macon Highway facing south. Frails then proceeded to allow other vehicles to go before him.
