    Aug. 27 the board of supervisors unanimously voted to lease a portion of Hanover's solid waste transfer station for $1 per year to local business, Zynnovation, LLC., so they can look at the feasibility of processing used diapers into irrigation tree mats under a pilot program. During the processing, the company retrieves polymers - the materials used to absorb urine and other liquids - and the plastic parts of the diaper, which usually help prevent leaks, Yang said.
