    Hanover College honored Mount St. Joseph basketball player Lauren Hill - who is battling a rare form of brain cancer and who has been the focus of a national fundraiser - with an emotional ceremony before Wednesday's basketball game at Collier Arena. Hill, a former player at Lawrenceburg who was diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma shortly after committing to attend Mount St. Joseph, was unable to attend the game due to the illness, but a packed house showed up - including several local high school teams - to recognize her struggle and raise about $1,800 for The Lauren Hill Tribute Fund that has generated more than $1.3 million for DIPG research.
