    After a two-year global manhunt, police arrested a Hancock man charged with a dozen counts of sexual assault of a child under 13. Scott Elrond Leblanc, 59, was arraigned as a fugitive from justice in Buffalo, New York, on Wednesday, after he was returned to the U.S. by authorities in Jamaica and Toronto, according to a press release issued by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office on Thursday. Police believe Leblanc fled the state in August 2013, after failing to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court Northern District to answer 12 counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault.

    After a two-year international manhunt, police have arrested a Hancock man charged with a dozen counts of sexual assault of a child under 13. Scott Elrond Leblanc, 59, was arraigned as a fugitive from justice in Buffalo, New York, on Wednesday, after he was returned to the U.S. by authorities in Jamaica and Toronto, according to a press issued by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office today . Investigators were informed by the U.S. Marshals Foreign Field Office in Jamaica that Leblanc had traveled from Toronto, Canada, to Montego Bay, Jamaica, where law enforcement officials denied him entry to the country, according to the release.
