    An Amtrak train was delayed after hitting a vehicle that was on the tracks in South Carolina, north of Charleston. Amtrak spokeswoman Christina Leeds told The Associated Press in an e-mail early Monday that there were no injuries to the train's passengers or crew and that the train was delayed for three hours before continuing north.

Linda Quackenbush Butler, a 66-year-old Foster Creek Road resident, surrendered to the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office and has been charged with furnishing contraband to a county prisoner.
