Her family was her priority and she loved spending time with them. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy L. Combs, to whom she was married on March 4, 1955; daughters, Vickie (Omer) Harrist, Karen (Christopher) Cox, and Jennifer Burris, each of Richmond; son, Michael D. Combs of Richmond; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Norma Knapp of Richmond; nieces; nephews; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Phyllis Miller; and son-in-law, Danial Burris. Visitation for Minnie Louise "Bird" Combs will be from 12 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2015, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2015, at Mills Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: Disabled American Veterans Association, 575 North Pennsylvania, Room 399, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204 or Wounded Warrior Project, 230 West Monroe, Suite 200, Chicago, Illinois 60606.
