    Some folks in America are working to take in the welcome sign for poorer immigrants, but not CT Shoreline Indivisible, an organization running a special benefit music event to help out Unidad Latina en Accion, the New Haven human rights group. The Saturday, April 21, concert - "Rise Up Singing! An Evening of Folk, Jazz, Pop and Rock" - will take place at the Guilford Community Center and feature Connecticut performers such as singer/songwriter Cyd Slotoroff; Isabella Mendes & Jeff Fuller playing Brazilian jazz; singer/songwriter Alison Farrell; Julie & Lars Selberg, a pop/rock duo; and Patty Chamberlain, Nancy Wilson, George Bassett and David Chamberlain in a jazz, folk and pop a cappella quartet called Cahoots.
