The exchange began when Phillip Garcia's 11-year-old daughter, Chastity, saw an ad on Craigslist for a purebred German shepherd puppy.

Five teenagers were riding in a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer driven by a 17-year-old Mexia boy traveling southwest on LCR 398 about two miles west of Groesbeck around 2 a.m. The driver lost control at a curve and rolled, according to Department of Public Safety Sgt. David Roberts.
