    A former teacher and coach at Grace King High School arrested in 2013 for possessing child pornography and again a year later for having sexually explicit photos of a former student on his cell phone pleaded guilty Tuesday to four counts of possession of child porn. Two of the charges stemmed from stemmed from the photos of the former student, who was between 13 and 15 years old at the time, District Attorney Paul Connick's Office said.

    A Gretna police officer was arrested on Friday, months after video surveillance caught him repeatedly kicking a handcuffed burglary suspect just feet away from other officers. Gretna Police Chief Arthur Lawson said he swiftly fired and then arrested Officer Robert Wallow after becoming aware of the videotaped beating.

    A lawsuit accusing pro football player Junior Galette of beating a woman at his former Kenner home early last year is tentatively scheduled to go to trial next summer. Judge Steve Enright of 24th Judicial District Court in Gretna is set to begin hearing arguments and testimony in the woman's lawsuit against Galette - who spent five seasons with the Saints - on June 12, according to court documents released Monday.
