    An Abbeville County woman is facing charges after officials seized more than 50 dogs from a Due West, South Carolina puppy mill , WYFF4News reported March 8. Upstate rescues are scrambling to find foster and permanent homes, as well as supplies needed to care for the dogs, many of whom were found lying in their own fecal matter and urine. The Abbeville County Sheriff's Office Investigation Unit responded to a home on George Alewine Road after a large number of complaints were called in about dozens of dogs living in unhealthy conditions inside the home.
