    A man who robbed two New Bern businesses and shot two people in two years in the process is going to prison for 40 years. A federal court judge in Greenville on Tuesday sentenced Tyrone Maurice Williams, 29, of New Bern, following guilty pleas on charges he shot two employees while robbing the Neuse Boulevard Dollar General Store in July 2012 and the First Flight Federal Credit Union on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in February 2014.

According to the N.C. Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 10:20 p.m. as David J. Ross, 56, of Greenville, was headed south on U.S. 17 on a 2010 Yamaha motorcycle.
