Officials say the parents left the children home by themselves and police are now questioning them.

Greenville High School Principal Xavier Hodo testified Wednesday before a state teacher licensing panel that he recommended firing Linda Winters-Johnson September 23. A video viewed millions of times shows Winters-Johnson dragging a special education student by the hair across the floor of the Greenville High School gym September 21. The video created turmoil in one of Mississippi's worst-performing school districts, sparking the firing of Superintendent Leeson Taylor.
