King Savior Black, 23, of 814 Green Oaks St., Greensboro, Rico Joshua Corde, 22, of 701 Franklin Blvd., Greensboro, Pierre Le-Lawton Little, 21, of 1213 Nealtown Road, Greensboro, and Matthew Lee Jones III, 29, of 751 Jennifer St., Greensboro, were arrested and charged with felony attempted breaking or entering a building, felony possession of burglary tools and felony conspiracy to commit breaking or entering a building.

    Appalachian State University alumnus Phillip Riggs, '88, was honored as GRAMMY Music Educator of the Year on Feb. 15. Riggs, now an educator at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, was chosen from a field of more than 4,500 nominees to receive the award, according to the GRAMMY Foundation website. Riggs graduated with a bachelor's degree in music education from ASU and went on to receive his master's in education from the University of Greensboro.
