The River Center Wood Bank has been operational for the past three years, utilizing volunteers - typically adolescents - in order to harvest firewood to give to families in the community who can't afford to heat their homes in the winter.

    A Greenfield teenager missing from Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center for more than 15 hours was returned to safety, police said, after the 15-year-old dialed 911 from a Bennington business. Jason Jozefiak, who is a resident at Crotched, called 911 at 12:05 a.m. Sunday to report that he was cold, tired, and lost, according to a press release from the N.H. Fish and Game's Enforcement and the Greenfield Police Department.
