Survivors include his wife of 52 years: Wilma Ricker; a son: Anthony Shane Ricker; a grandson: Nicholas Shane Ricker; a granddaughter: Amber Widner Slagle and her husband, Shane; great-granddaughters: Madison and Morgan Slagle; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Lois Ricker, Wanda Ricker, Pat Ricker, Linda Sweat, Joy and Bill Nunnally, Louise Gunter, Josephine Keith, Marjorie and Alton Bradley, John Paul Gunter and Jimmie Dean Coffey; and several nieces, nephews and special friends.

    Travis Brandon Benton, 35, whose most recent address was in Surgoinsville, was charged Sunday night by Greeneville police with possession of a quantity of methamphetamine, resisting arrest and driving under the influence-3rd offense. Benton, who will appear today in General Sessions Court, had at least 15 active arrest warrants that include earlier offenses committed in Greene and other counties, according to reports.
