    A special ceremony was held Thursday, Feb. 16, at Lander University's Moran Assembly Plaza to recognize the creators of three sculptures recently added to campus. Two of the sculptures - "Mental Expansion," by Olivia Bolt, of Gray Court, and "Sounds of Laughter," by Molly Ott, of Boiling Springs - have been installed in the plaza itself.

    In an effort to enhance the fan experience at Dolny Stadium, Lander officials have agreed to the sale of beer and wine for 11 baseball games during the 2017 season, beginning March 3. The fourth Nashville Songwriters Benefit to benefit Make-A-Wish South Carolina will be Thursday, March 2 at 7:00 PM at The Greenwood Community Theatre. This year's event will feature hit songwriter Byron Hill who has written songs for George Strait, Alabama, George Jones, Ray Charles, Jason Aldean and countless others.
