    A 36-year-old Springfield man and 29-year-old Marshall woman face felony first and third-degree felony burglary charges in Yellow Medicine County after a home security system alerted the homeowner that a vehicle was in the driveway of his home Dec. 27. The homeowner, Yellow Medicine County Sheriff Bill Flaten, got into his squad car and shortly after pulled over the suspects, Michael A. Chenoweth, 36, Springfield; and Ashley D. Schultz, 29, Marshall, on a rural road. The couple was taken into custody with help from a sheriff's deputy and Granite Falls Police.

    A 27-year old New Ulm woman faces third-degree felony assault and misdemeanor domestic assault and fifth-degree assault charges in Brown County District Court after New Ulm Police were called to a domestic dispute on Dec. 28. Megan K. Miller, 717 S. Minnesota St., was booked into the Brown County Jail after telling police she punched a man in the mouth after he poured beer on her, according to the criminal complaint. New Ulm Police were dispatched to 717 S. Minnesota St. for a physical domestic in progress.
