Sauer finished with 41 points on 15-of-27 shooting. The senior forward added seven rebounds, three assists, six steals and two blocked shots helping Brainerd to its first win of the season.

    A Granite Falls, Minn., woman has been identified as the victim in a one-vehicle fatal rollover that occurred early Saturday morning on Interstate 29 near the South Dakota-North Dakota border. Killed in the crash was Marrisa Mountain, 23, who was a passenger in the 2007 Ford Crew Cab that was southbound about 1:30 a.m. on the interstate, left the road and eventually rolled.

    Two burglary suspects are in custody after a homeowner's home security system alerted him Wednesday, Dec. 27, that a vehicle was in the driveway of his rural home while his 12-year-old son was home alone. The homeowner hopped into his squad car, contacted his son en route and shortly afterward, pulled the suspects over on a rural roadway and with gun drawn, took them into custody with the help of a sheriff's deputy and the Granite Falls police chief.
