    Police have determined there's no threat to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital or a nearby Grand Rapids Community College parking ramp after a man committed suicide outside the hospital Wednesday. The man who shot himself in the head while standing on the sidewalk outside the emergency room along Barclay Avenue NE was found with a suicide note that referenced a "parting gift for police" and a "package for police officers," Grand Rapids Police Sgt.

    Grand Rapids, MI- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced today that 397 softball student-athletes have been named 2015-16 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
