    Authorities say beachgoers formed human chains along the shores of Lake Michigan to rescue swimmers caught in rough water blamed for two drownings over the weekend. The Grand Haven Department of Public Safety says people linked arms to reach a 64-year-old man experiencing trouble in the "hazardous wave conditions" around noon.

    Authorities have released the name of a man whose body was pulled from Lake Michigan at Grand Haven State Park in western Michigan. The Grand Haven Department of Public Safety says Friday the body of 25-year-old Emmanuel Niyomugabo of Grand Rapids was found Thursday about 30 feet from shore within the park's swimming area.
