However, due to icy road conditions at the time, Lewis' vehicle skidded into the intersection and into the path of a northbound vehicle, driven by 21-year-old Nolan Pelkey of Grand Haven.

    Ottawa County Sheriff Deputy Matt Wilfong says deputies were called to a two-vehicle head-on crash at 96th Avenue and Adams Street in Holland Township around 11:40 p.m. A 29-year-old Zeeland man whose name is not being released was driving a 2008 Nissan Ultima east on Adams waiting to turn north on 96th Avenue when he pulled directly into the path Keith Garvelink of Grand Haven. Garvelink's Hyundai Sonata struck the Nissan head on.
