    Last year, a blanket of ice coated Young County the day before the Rotary Club of Graham's 11th Annual Wild Game Dinner and didn't leave until the day after. Still, said Rotary Club of Graham President Joe Graham, about 800 people managed to show up at the Young County Arena for the Saturday night dinner and biggest local Rotary fundraiser of the year.

    At about 3:30 Tuesday afternoon Young County's volunteer firefighters were called into action to quell an unattended controlled burn getting out of hand on State Highway 16, about 10 miles south of Graham. Members of the Young County Sheriff's Office, Salt Creek Volunteer Fire Department, the Young County Volunteer Fire Department and the Eliasville Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire, and had the situation under control within minutes.
