District Court judge Ken Graham handed down the punishment to 18-year-old Chancey Allen Luna after a Stephens County jury had convicted Luna of first-degree murder in the August 2013 shooting death of 22-year-old Christopher Lane.

The last time Throckmorton was able to produce water from its reservoir, Lake Throckmorton, was in October 2012, and nearly three years later, Mayor Will Carroll said he hopes the city will never need to access water from the City of Graham again.

Martin, who has a 2-year-old daughter, attended the Graham High School graduation ceremony the evening of Friday, May 29, and was last heard from via a telephone call that evening around 9 p.m. "We know - and anybody that you talk to about Leah will know - she didn't go off and leave that baby," Lois Shaffer, Martin's grandmother, said.

Officials from the Graham Police Department said the last time anyone saw Leah Donnice Martin, 22, was at the Graham High School graduation ceremony Friday evening at the school in the 1000 block of Brazos Street. The ceremony ended around 9 p.m., and then, officials said, she spoke with a relative on her cell phone at approximately 9:45 p.m. Martin's vehicle was found parked at her workplace in Graham Saturday morning, May 30, but officials say Martin was not there and has not been heard from since.
