    Music will fill the air here again this summer when the village's Revitalization Committee presents its third annual community concert series. There will be a variety of free concerts on six Wednesday nights beginning July 12 at the gazebo on the Village Green behind the Adams Fire Hall, 6 N. Main St. Each performance will begin at 6:30 and end at about 8. In the event of rain, concerts will be held at the Six Town Meeting Hall on East Church Street.

Troopers charge that at on March 19, while an inmate at the Gouverneur Correctional Facility, Mr. Barrett was subjected to a pat frisk after setting off a metal detector and was found in possession of a metal can lid bent over on one side in his front pants pocket.

Lamson, 62, of 1992 Route 812, Gouverneur, was sentenced to two to six years in prison for his March 3 guilty plea to felony third-degree bribe-receiving and misdemeanor official misconduct as part of a plea deal with the state attorney general's office. In or about May 2016 in the town of Fowler while acting as the town justice, Mr. Lamson arranged to receive sexual favors from an individual known to the Attorney General's office who had a pending criminal case before Mr. Lamson.

    A Gouverneur man was charged Monday by federal agents with two years of dumping polluted water into the Raquette River and lying about it in reports. Michael J. Ward, 54, pleaded not guilty in U.S. District Court, Syracuse, to an indictment charging him with six felony counts of violating the Clean Water Act, according to a news release issued by U.S. Attorney Richard S. Hartunian.
